How To Change An Infiniti Key Fob Battery- Tutorial DIY

In this video, I show you how to change an Infiniti key fob battery. Many different models use this key fob, so it will work for many different Infiniti cars and SUVs. This specific key fob was from a QX60, but the process will be extremely similar for the other Infiniti models that use the same key fob!

My wife had bought a 2032 for the garage door opener. The original battery in my QX65 was a 2032...looking below one can use either battery size. Thank you for the video! I used a little old curved knife that my wife likes to use. I am sneaking it back now....

The key fob pictured probably takes the 2032 but the 2025 will work. Difference in batteries is thickness (3.2 mm vs. 2.5 mm). Bottom line is the 2032 will last longer because it is a larger (more capacity) battery. Also no need to jack up plastic seem as shown. Where the key comes out are two slots for a small (jewelers) screwdriver to open the case cleanly. An INFINITI Key Fob will require a CR2025 type battery, while a key fob that’s been designed to work with INFINITI Intelligent key requires a CR2032 battery instead.
