I wonder if anyone noticed that, but in that final base race, when Shaker spawned and LGD were trying to gain distance and regroup, Bane actually cast his nightmare on Shaker. You can see him raising his hands at 8:15:50. But since the animation of this spell is slow, and Bane was low HP, he died to the Pugna nether ward faster than the spell was completed. I mean, damn, what are the chances of that? It's not like LGD were caught by surprise, they left Bane behind and he was ready, but he was unfortunate to be low enough to die from that ward... Just shows how much tiny details and plain luck can change everything when both opponents are so incredibly skilled. Amazing series!

i know jerax made helluva play at the end there but the real savior was without a doubt, ceb. if the pugna ward wasnt there bane would sleep ES and that's game over. ward placement was so perfect (and a bit lucky i think, no way he actually predicted it but credit to his game sense too) and shaker was free to do his thing. ik this is like 4 years old but i just realized this lol
