Contour vs. Bronzer 🤔 l Christen Dominique

Contouring and bronzing can be hard to figure out, but to keep it simple a cool tone shade is best for creating contour or shadows on your face to give a sculpted look. A bronzer gives your face warmth like you had some sun and this should be using on the cheeks forehead and sometimes nose and blended with a fuller brush. #shorts

Contour will have an ashy/ grey color or undertone with absolutely no sparkle or glitter whereas bronzer will have brown warmth to it

Thankfully someone finally said it, contouring with bronzer just doesn't really work, bronzer is a highlight it doesn't create shadows like contour does

While what your saying is true, the demo I'd argue was a result of the difference in the products themselves. One (LYS) is HIGHLY pigmented, the other one is sheer. (Merit) I do agree contour shades should 'usually' be cooler, or a neutral shade, but some skin tones, actually do require some warmth.

it honestly depends i do agree that sometimes contouring with a bronzer can look like a harsher streak or muddy but thats why i love makeup and when im in a time crunch bronzing everything without a contour sometimes is the way to go 🫶🏼🤷🏻✨

The bronzer is applied twice as thick. Even so, it is more flattering than the contour.
