"Give yourself permission.
Don't dent the world your contribution."
Singlehandedly some of the most motivating lines I've ever heard, even more than what I've heard from other professionals (not to rag on those professionals though). Thank you so much for this video :]

"There is no greater suffering than denying what you're dying to say." As a writer I completely agree :)

The widest shot in the park with the big tree and the shifting light was really really cool. Something strangely pleasing about the soccer goals lining up evenly also. Very nice video, topic, and good vibes. Good luck with your next script! I struggle with it a lot too. My experience recently is that the best ideas seem to drop into your mind just at that moment after you've pretty much given up. I'm not sure who told me that would happen, but they were right. It's all part of the process even when it's so painful some days.

Definitely this was a video I needed. I have just graduated and got into 2 jobs.
My first one was into Accounting where I felt like I didn't know anything when I saw the amount of workload and the work. I was feeling like giving up constantly and my confidence went super low. I left the job the next day and everyone started calling me stupid for doing that.
The second job I started in Equity Research which I enjoyed but, whenever I started getting stuck I started being skeptic about my skills and then started getting demotivated and eventually I left that job as well after a week.
I am so confused why this kept on happening but I am glad to see someone facing with the same issues and now I know how to tackle it.

I don’t know why but your video is so therapeutic that made me tear up. I got affected by layoffs a month ago and I went through ups and downs and now I’m feeling exactly what you went through. When I was working I didn’t feel this way at all. My mentality was pretty strong because I truly loved what I’m doing. The only time I had difficult time was when there were people who’s being resistant to the positive change that I’m trying to make. And after watching your video I just realized that I was being like that to myself! I was the person who’s making me to go through hard time. This is the best insight that I gained most recently. Thank you for tackling this topic on your video. I support you to talk about these type of topics because it’s so helpful for people who’s going through layoffs and unexpected challenging moment. *I also highly recommend this book called Creative Confidence by Tom and David Kelly for everyone!*

I’m 43 and I used to be a risk taker in my 20s I feel like I started doubting myself too much now, so I’ve been healing this myself, anyway just wanted to say that it is refreshing to find this in younger generations, you inspire others beyond any age, thank you! 🙏🏽

I just came across your channel a few days ago. After consecutively watching your videos and listening to what you have to say, I just can't help but keep coming back. Truthfully, I've been watching videos like this hoping for a spark to reignite the passions I’ve lost. It's very hard, especially when time is running so fast and I still don't know where I am going with my life. I am not very good at expressing myself, but the things you say and show resonates a lot to what I am currently feeling. Your videos just gives me a great amount of comfort. Just the thought that I am not alone and that there is someone out there who knows and understands what I feel is enough to keep me going. You are a great storyteller and you don't know how much your videos inspire me to keep moving forward and keep trying to figure life out. Thank you!

Yunno that cozy and fuzzy feeling you get when it’s raining and you’re curled up comfortably in your bed smelling the rain and enjoying just ‘being’…. That’s the feeling I get when I watch your videos 🩵

A work of art, as always :) I had to read 'the war of art' twice myself to fully take it in!

I just came across your videos recently, and honestly I don't think the universe could've timed it any better. I'm currently in the chapter of my life where I'm giving myself permission to be creative, to be free, to allow myself to be me and watching these videos have been constant motivation and reminders of that dream. The story telling and film style keeps me hooked and the videos are never too long because somehow you manage to completely say so much, so effectively in 10 minutes or less. I hope that one day I can make videos and influence people in the way you do. 💕

I really needed to hear this. Thank you Riza. Been on a big slump the last year... this is a big reassurance to step back into a creative space. Much love from LA!

I love the way you explore and explain things. So creative. By the way Riza means "having the permission" in Turkish. Kind of like being able to do something and letting yourself. 💚
