I think Logan is a Black Eyed Child. Its an old urban legend that black eyed children are either evil spirits or alien hybrids, but the lore states that you NEVER invite them into your space or you will be killed some sort of way. He might also be a shikigami, which is a death spirit that feeds on raw flesh and brings misfortune. Either way, I can't wait to see how it ends.

The Kid is some kind of vampire-thing. Needing to ask permission to come in, mind-control, the cat he ate for Was looking forward to part two of this fun, creepy story. Now I gotta wait for part 3! LOL!

At that point, I say screw the husband and take the dog to safety. He wants that demon in his house, he can deal with it on his own. A husband that doesn't care his wife AND DOG are scared is not worthy of being a husband. And as someone who has 5 cats and 2 dogs, the missing cat and the runaway dog really hit hard. That is probably not even just a black-eyed kid. Full on demon, I say.

Immediately going to the library instead of looking online or getting a doctor's confirmation of if she's ever been pregnant kind of puts me off the story as something someone would do just to appease Redditors and not actually solve things.

I paused at the3;09 mark. In part 1, she openly said she awoke from a night of drinking. In our sleep, our "soul" wonders. Somehow, someway, hers got trapped in a near parallel dimension. In this current paradox, all is true. But the boy KNOWS she's out of i'll continue and see how wrong i am!!

I agree with others who've said he's a black-eyed child from urban legend, combined with vampire. I'm now sure he ate the neighbor's cat. I hope Gus is okay, and that the woman protagonist gets him back. Looking forward to Part 3.

Some ridiculously old vampires aren't effected by sunlight. Some of them also have the ability to alter memories. However, they wouldn't choke out kids or get angry at missing a trip to the grocery store. Those are things a "normal" kid would do. So my working theory is:
Parents had kid. Mom and kid were alone when they stumbled upon an ancient vampire who wanted the kid. Vampire takes the kid, alters mom's memories. "You never had a kid. Never wanted a kid. You'll blank out memories of him and conversations about him going forward, actively ignore any evidence that he existed." And then fucked off with the kid.
Years later the kid, now a powerful vampire is released, escapes, kills the older vampire, whatever and tries to come home. Thus begins part 1 of the story.

Sounds like a changeling in fae lore. They can trick humans into believing and even seeing things such as the family pictures. Maybe the narrator’s mind is just harder to trick
