Not sure what hurts more. Knowing that Johnny won’t have the chance to give Blue Jackets fans a moment like this like the Flames had in 2022. Or, that Sean Monahan is not going to have the opportunity to play alongside his best friend again after signing in Columbus. Absolutely gut-wrenching feeling. I feel horrible for the family, friends, teammates and fans. Rest easy Johnny and Matthew. 13 forever.

The fact that Oettinger almost saved that is freaking incredible. That's hands down the greatest goalie performance I have ever seen from the team losing the series. Even the freakin Predators might have beaten the Avs with him in next. Flames dominated virtually every aspect of the game all series, so it shouldn't have been close much less a game 7 overtime series. The only reason, Oettinger.

I am a die hard flames fan and I even feel bad for the stars goaltender otteinger. It was basically a one man team for the stars. I mean he made 64 saves in this game. That's insane. And with all respect I wouldn't feel nearly as bad for him if he actually just had support from his teammates but instead they all left him hanging.
