Visualizing & Breaking a 3D Force Vector Into Its Components [Vector Statics #19]

Показать описание
When we have a force in space, we can break it up into its three components by first looking at a 2D plane in which the force acts in and then breaking those components down further until we have have the force components in all 3 directions.
In this video, we'll visualize a force in space, figure out how we can calculate the value of the components using direction angles, and derive the formula for finding the magnitude of a force in 3D.
⏰ Timestamps:
0:00 Introduction
2:31 The Magnitude of F
3:23 Drawing the 2D Plane for F
5:37 Finding F's 2D Force Components
8:08 Finding Fx, Fy, and Fz
11:38 Deriving the Magnitude Equation
