It sounds like Alvarez has really thought things through and is serious about telling a story. It's also good that they're using practical effects, which generally look more realistic than CGI. This might actually prove to be a good film.

The cast feels like they belong in some cheap teenage slasher movies. When you look the previous Alien movies, the cast all look like proper adult who have seen hard work and capable of handling themselves. Will have to watch the movie to see how believable they are with a gun. It's like Terminator: Dark Fate all over again.

My only problem with this scenario is that everything "Alien" is property of 20th Century Studios, formerly 20th Century Fox Studios, now owned by Disney. I *really* want to like this kinda stuff and get excited for it, but knowing that Disney owns it makes me very skeptical. Ive never watched "Prey" for this very reason.

I love Fede and his take on Evil Dead. Looking forward to this. His Evil Dead was 10 times better than this newer one.

If the movie did well i hope the director will countiue doing Alien movies and explore more of Weyland Yutani and they could do a short movie focus only on Xenomorphs Homeworld that would be so awesome

There's not a single thing even remotely cool or exciting about this latest image, it looks like it could have been shot in a school classroom, the lighting is even fairly boring. Hopefully get a trailer drop real soon, there's some cool shots, but a couple of very mundane ones like this too.

I don't know why they keep trying to make each female lead a Ripley clone.

A cross between Alien and Aliens hey. SO basically a rehash of what we've seen and nothing new. They did that with Resurrection. Of course the director's going to say all these positive things about his own film. After the trash we got in the last two silly films, heck even before that with AvP:R and Resurrection I don't have high hopes. This will be released under Disney after all.

I LOVE the fact that we are getting a sibling story at the heart of this movie. One between a brother & sister at that. And they have made it original with the two not at all being actual siblings by blood but one is even an android! Which gives us a new situation for the androids in this franchise that we have never had before as a side-bonus. The point is that it doesn't matter that the two are not siblings by blood, or the fact that he is an android. The important thing is that despite those things they still behave like siblings & treat each other as such. Since he is an older model I am not sure if he can feel any actual feelings, probably he can if we use both David & Walter as references. But even if he can't feel any actual real emotions towards her, as long as he follows a program or a sense of duty to protect her & care for her as "family" I am all in for this! One of the biggest problems in our later Alien films released has been the lack of proper relationships between characters. One of the strongest reasons (out of many) why Aliens in particular was such a smash & still is to this day is because of the mother-daughter relationship between Ripley & Newt. This is also partly why Alien 3 didn't work for most people because that same relationship was destroyed right away. That sense of family relations, or very close friendships, is what always makes any audience invested, no matter the story. Which is essential for any horror story in particular. We must care for their survival & well-being, otherwise the horror will never work. That these two will behave as if they were siblings, or family at least, is a strong suggestion they have realized that they must once again focus on the emotional impact of the story to make the audience give a hoot. I just hope that this indeed will be a focus point & not the poor attempts they made for Covenant by making everyone couples but we rarely if ever saw anything of those relationships, certainly not enough to give a damn.
