Just finished processing our first deer of the season with a Vevor bandsaw and an 8 hp grinder. The new Vevor worked great and had way better build quality than I expected. It has loads of power - check the tension on the blade from time to time or it may pop off the guide wheels. You should be able to pluck the blade with your finger and hear it sing (not plugged in of course). I was worried about cleaning but it only took a half hour. I hooked a small hose up to our laundry sink, ran hot water only and hosed it down with the blade off. Soaked the blade in Dawn detergent in a rubbermaid while I worked on the machine. Used a brush for the groove down the guide wheels and made sure I got in behind the wheels too. After multiple hot water rinses I sprayed the unit down with diluted bleach and Dawn then did a final rinse. The blade gets special attention - fold paper towel around the back and pull it through looking for spots of tallow on the blade - work on these until the blade is clean and dry. We hope to have a few more deer to process before the season is done so I want this great little machine to be super clean.

Great home band saw! I bet it came with a boneless blade too. I never used one that didn't have a rollers to hold the meat though. A good butchers tip for cutting bone-in steaks is to use a knife to cut the steaks and only use the band saw to cut the bone. A jug of pink sanitizer is great to spray it with after the soap and water. Right on Russ!

Thanks for the great video. How loud is it while using? wondering to have it and use inside our condo for slicing frozen meat.

I'm sure that would come in handy and allow buying larger pieces of meat at a discount. Nice review, Rus!

Awesome video! Thank you!

This machine will insure that the meat you harvest will in fact be the same meat.

A curious question, is that a left hand saw or does your camera flip things? The reason I ask is that most equipment like that comes standard right handed. Also cutting with the nitrile gloves is not a problem, just don't wear chainmail gloves when using the bandsaw. Also what is the throat depth for the saw?

Been looking at this. We're about to process our first hog, and will be doing several a year. Been wanting to see someone use this.

Nice review Rus got me to wondering if I could use my floor band saw I use for wood. I guess if I wanted to clean it up and get a dedicated blade for meat. Hum I wonder Thanks You

That is a sweet bone saw. Rus it won't be long and you will have your own butcher shop. Great video Rus.

You could build a platform to stand on instead of cutting the table legs. I bought a rib eye roast to cut my own steaks by hand, that was a bad day, never a again. I know you are going to enjoy your new "toy" Rus. Never had pigs feet. Yeah, the bone saw would be the way to go!
