Love your cast testing vids. Your the only person on the net that does a practical test of bfs gear.

I fish alot with small jigs and bfs gear. Atomic tubes, crappie magnets, 2" hardtime minnows, 2.5" gitzits and various other micro soft bodies. Trout, smallmouth, largemouth, catfish, musky, drum, and pretty much anything that swims in a river will slurp small soft body jigs.

It can be tuff to cast them do to them turning and catching wind mid air and braking systems not being able to adjust. When you get down below 1/8th air resistance makes more of a difference than weight. For exp. A 2.5 inch gitzit tube with a 1/32 once jig will cast easier than a 3.5" version.

I have the hardest time casting the 1/16th ounce kietech mono spin jig. Even with a trailer.

I hope your planning on putting the new Aldebaran to test to see if it will be worth the higher price?

i usually raise my rod tip pitching or skipping as a way to pull out line a bit so it doesn't over spool. but seeing you pitch so softly with light lures.. i may try to keep the tip down too to see how that goes for me

Would love to see more over arm casting to test these reels. That’s mostly the technique I use in the conditions I fish, and the brakes come into play far more with this technique.

Thank you for the informative review! I was wondering how that spool compares to the roro fixed inductor spools? I've been watching a lot of Japanese YouTubers, and the last few on the water video's they seemed to like the Gekkabijin more overall. They did like the Silver Stream for close-range casting, however. I messaged the one gentleman, and on his next video he will compare the roro spool verse the factory spool. Thanks again for another great video

That is a great looking rod, looks like it's a fast or moderate fast action. A lot of glass rods are so sloppy the accuracy is bad. Most shorter rods only have 5 or 6 guides but it looks like your rod has 8 or more. Definitely a rod I'd like to get.

I told you I would be checking this out. Great review, but not a reel I will be in the market for anytime soon. I have to get my feet wet with my Kastking BFS setup first. Getting this broken 🦶 problem resolved is the first step... No foot pun intended 🤣

Great and informative as always!
Would love to see you try out the Alphas, Gekka and Roro spools in the Silver Creek to see how it affects the casting of the reel!

Awesome in depth casting review...very practical and useful info as usual. You are by far my favorite bfs fishing YouTuber. Hey do the roro spools have a fixed inductor. I've been waiting on one from roro for like 4 or 5 weeks for my gekkabijin.

What is the spec of your glass rod? Do you think a rated 2-10g rod cast lure weight 3-5g well? Or better with upper half of the rates lure weight like 5-10g?
