G20 Health Meet: PM Modi to address G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting in Gandhinagar

Under India's G20 presidency, the official inauguration of the G20 Health Ministers' meeting takes place today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address the opening session. The conference will involve 19 G20 member countries, 10 invited states, and 22 International Organizations, with a focus on three key priorities: preventing, preparing for, and responding to health emergencies, emphasizing anti-microbial resistance and the One Health framework; enhancing collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector; and fostering Digital Health innovations. Joint sessions and side events will augment the meeting, and a dedicated Finance-Health Ministers' Meeting will occur as a highlight. Additionally, the launch of the Global Initiative on Digital Health, aimed at strengthening digital healthcare worldwide, is scheduled for tomorrow within India's G20 Presidency.
