I was looking at a few comments from some of your videos and man, you get more hate and babies who cry about fish handling than any other fishing channel out there, just wanted to say you dont deserve that youve helped me and many others with casting and fly selection keep it up!

A Few years ago when I was learning to fly fish, I watched one of your older casting vids. Of the many hours of vids I watched, it was the best illustration of the basics of casting and enabled me to actually get the line past my feet. I’ve referred many people to your beginner vids. You have a flair for simplifying a daunting style of fishing! Appreciate the effort mate 👍🏻

Good info. Would like to add that you can effectively water load prior to your fore cast by laying the line on the water behind you as you have demonstrated before on moving water after a drift. I teach this to new casters and even experienced guys that may not have used the technique. Mostly used on lakes and in windy conditions where loadin the rod becomes challenging on the forecast or you struggle with the extra weight of indicators and multiple flies.

Dan....u da mann! love your videos and tips....really helpful with my casting flaws, etc. hey...I have a question regarding casting with indicator and two nymphs which no one seems to want to address.... when I cast such a set up, I dont seem to get a loop and more of a "gathering" with the two nymphs kind of tumbling. they dont tangle but dont seem to land as elegantly as would like. presume its the indicator (oros and the like). am I doing something wrong or sweating something here that dont need to sweat ? thanks dude.

I have the tendency to always double haul, seems natural shooting my Skagit head with 4' of T12

I see you've been getting some flak from a certain German, who, to be honest, I haven't a clue what he's talking about regarding his teaching and technique. Keep up the good work Dan.👍

Tangles⁉ That NEVER happens😉🙃. For me, with the right line, the roll cast is what I prefer. With an indicator, split shot and three nymphs - false casting is NOT an option 😇. ☮ from North Idaho.
