Today, there are hundreds of trillions of organisms alive, spanning across millions of species - and that is less than 1% of the total number of living things that have ever called this place home. In this video, we will go back to the beginning, when the Earth was a fiery ball of molten rock, to look at how life emerged on Earth, with the very first cells.
