Hi SickBiker. The lube used on the gears is non-polar. As such, it's hydrophobic. Washing the bike with water won't necessarily push the lube from the cassette and the chain over to the brake. And then, if you use soap to clear it, both polar and non-polar molecules will be removed. I don't think there is much risk getting oil on the brake disc.

It's a Bafang, you can't make the chain run backwards by turning the crank.

Looks like Bafang motor, just like mine, except my bike is Felt DD30.

Is it 500W, 750W, 1000W or even more powerfull one? How many kilometers you get from your chains using that motor and what chains do you use?
