Secumarism in France is about keeping religion private while allowing it in places made for it like mosques synagogues and churches temples... . I know it seems to be extreme when forbidding hijabs or kippas at public schools but it makes sense to me : you are not at school for showing from which religion you believe in, you are there as a citizen receiving a secular education. Some religions ares more visible than others and tend to be more seen thats an inequality in a secular country. To keep everybody in the same level we can wear necklaces with crosses, allah or David'star but not more than that.
