Stef please don't stop putting out advise and insight. You got me researching and practicing making apps and websites for future potential freelance work. I always knew AI is on the horizon. First I will concur spitting out websites faster than most and revisit that AI math thats out there.

Honestly, i think that in the future research jobs hype will stop. We don't need more research, we already have pretty good models, we need more software engineers that knows about aplying models in real life problems, and also companies can't win Google, Microsoft or Amazon in the AI Battle, but their can win with cool products that help customers, we also need more data engineers, it takes 1 person to do a model, but a lot of data engineers to mantain a data warehouse

Hello Mr. Stef, I am a 22 year old with a "computer science degree". I wanted to ask "what are the most future proof jobs for my industry". I was leaning more towards AI learning or like web development. I’m really trying to figure out what I got my self into with this degree, because people are saying, :AI in ten years seems it will take over “All” software developer jobs". A quick opinion would be more than enough of your time! Thank you.

Stef, long time listener first time caller..., I am a 56 Software Engineer. It seems like over time due to my programming languages or jobs that I accept, the relationships that I once had seem to escape me. Some of it is the current societal bifurcation. Some of it is due to long distances. Do you have any advice for us programmers that are working from home but are becoming more and more isolated as we grow older.
