2024 was year of Ups and Downs for PC Tech. With all the launches and releases of CPUs and GPUs from Intel, AMD, nVidia and Apple, was this a good year or a bad year?

In the past AdoredTV showed us we are getting smaller and smaller of die sizes with higher and higher prices.
Maybe AI is a turning point we will get bigger die sizes again, but the word on higher prices is not yet unconfirmed.

Been pc gaming since the 90's and I recently built my first AMD based gaming pc (both CPU and GPU are AMD) and its been the most stable pc I ever owned. I did it because Nvidia went nuts with their pricing.

It was a good year for the 7800x3d until later in the year.

Pretty bad year I'd say. Worst thing was for sure the Intel troubles on the CPU front.

Most disappointing thing that happened for me in 2024 tech was finding out AMD wasn't going to create an enthusiast GPU for their next GPU gen.

I'm one of those who lost confidence in Intel. I have 2 13900ks, each one on highest tier ASUS and gigabyte boards. Built 2nd 13900k a month before intel instability got my attention. I had zero problems with either, but did not like intel's PR and did not trust my systems. Put them in storage and went with AMD 7800x3d than upgraded to the 9800x3d. Last time I used AMD was in 2004

Bad Year for customers. Good year for NVIDIA investors. Remember 2023 Windows on ARM promises went kaboom on 2024. Maybe it's time to be a Mac.
