This is the bittersweet symphony of metalcore, criminally underrated band

This song is beautiful. It’s like Moby and Linkin Park had a baby, and his name was Marcus. Whole album caught me off guard, but it’s admittedly very good.

When Marcus sings that part "to find my way to the surface" at 0:55 it really reminds you of Chester Bennington's vocals. That's why this song feels so nostalgic to me

Lyrics://

I've finally opened my eyes
I think I needed the time
Needed to lose my mind
To find my way to the surface
I didn't see the signs
Thought I was doing fine
Turns out that I was blind
A lie had burrowed deep into my soul
My spirit exploding
Chaos fire, infinite release
In pieces, I'm falling
A life I can't repeat
My spirit exploded
And I picked up the pieces
At least, what I could
I hope the glue holds like it should
But I can see the cracks
My spirit exploded
Waking up in the shadows
The cycle runs its course
A lesson to be taught
But I can't lift myself up off the floor
My spirit exploding
Chaos fire, infinite release
In pieces, I'm falling
A life I can't repeat
My spirit exploded
And I picked up the pieces
At least, what I could
I hope the glue holds like it should
But I can see the cracks
My spirit exploded

Listened to this song while driving alone across Australia to move. It’s burned to my memories forever now.

I really love this track so much. It gives me early 2000s vibes. It's so nostalgic and magical

This song gives me nostalgic feelings
This is why this band is amazing

In my opinion, this should've been the closer of the album, but Dark Solitaire works really well thematically too.

Nova is the most movie end credits song you guys have made, I reckon. A Sci-Fi, or Bourne movie, methinks :)

Since the day the album was released. NOVA and Imamorata have become my favorites songs. And everytime I listen to novels while walking feels like I'm modeling ngl haha, it's so good.

Discovering the album/band after knowing only this track for a whole year is an experience 😂

I love that Northlane is doing what feels right. Of course songs like Vultures, Rot hit harder but this is really good too. I just love this band.

This song has such a beautiful vibe
It reminds me of Cyberpunk 2077, imagine you drive through Night City at night and all the neon lights shine in your car and you listen to this. It just has a peaceful and lovely vibe imo

Lastnight on my way to my girlfriends house I hit something in the road with my car. Tore the front end up pretty good. But I managed to pick up the pieces and zip tie things together to make it the rest of the way to her place. Today on my way home I decided to see what good ol Northlane had and realized I hadn’t fully listened to this album. When this song played through I think I I’ve listened to this track more times than I can count. The music, the words, my current situation. It brought tears to my eyes. 90s Moby and blank & Jones vibes hit me right in the nostalgia feels. You guys are amazing. I hope to see you on stage some day soon. Cheers.

This song is good enough to be played at a funeral!

I love this song! It's a great cooldown of the album, both surprisingly different from the rest, yet perfectly fitting into it as a whole. And it definitely deserves a music video.

Only discovered this today, driving on an unusually empty stretch of freeway, on an unexpectedly moody yet sunny winters day, with the windows open, and this song blasting louder than the sound of the wind buffeting through the cabin. Felt like flying! People knock Moby, but there is a feeling to this song that only Moby (and maybe a few others) could get close to for me. And the Chester like lyrics just elevate it to the level of addiction! Excellent song. Well done! Hope to see you guys round Perth way soon.
