I’m moving towards lighter holds as they leave my hair softer less dry feeling and makes passing a brush through possible. Application, and washing out are improved waves look softer as they can go jagged looking so many improvements at the price of hold volume is slightly worse i’d say for me but i’ve never struggled to keep my hair tall
