I used all of your videos and then ChatGPT to try and figure out how to deliver an Azure Pipeline with PowerBI API that could deploy reports, datasets and dataflows to multiple production workspaces on commit, and all I can say is I'm very grateful for both of you 😂 much easier to get to a solution with a bit of guidance 🙏

One of the first things I did to test out ChatGPT was actually asking it to list out important things to learn/understand for someone learning PowerBI. I was surprised by the specificity of the list, but I was even more surprised when I asked it to explain things like filter/row contexts and how they affect DAX! The explanation was mostly correct, but as you pointed out, should be used just as a starting point, not as the end of your research!

I'm almost a newbie in JavaScript, and I had to create a PDF file having base64 content and provide it to the browser for downloading. I spent about 3 hours reading Stack Overflow and other resources, but I was not successful. There were many example codes available, but I couldn't manage to run any of them. Then, I decided to ask ChatGPT, and it worked like a charm! I just copied and pasted the given code, and it worked perfectly

You can give a list of columns from an API and tell it to create a PowerBI query to do absolutely anything. I just realized this the other day. I can also ask it to analyze someone else’s code and tell me what it does, and then build on that.

You can give it any model number of clothes washer or dryer and ask for the ideal setting for a particular material and it will tell you what buttons to press and why. Nuts.

I use GPT-4 a lot, but it is no good for DAX that much. It stuck in 2021, still don't use VAR and use EARLIER a lot and many times confuse SQL and Excel functions which doesn't exist in DAX. It is really good to finger to the right direction, but not efficient enough to solve problems. But it is much better in python, html, and other more famous coding languages. Also amazing for translating things.

I actually used something similar to the first use case for my first serious attempt with ChatGPT. As first, I was delighted, but after a few hours I realised that ChatGPT was simply lying to me. It had grasped the structure of the powershell libraries but since it could not find a simple command for what I wanted, it started creating commands that did not exist. On each challenge, the response was "oh sorry, please try this instead". That was under version 3... I haven't retried with ChatGPT 4 yet.

Sir, please make a video on like is there any way we can create a reports usage report, like if some one visit a page in dashboard/report then his email and mage name should be send on sql server or sharepoint list(preferred), i dont want to go through reports usage section and download the users information, i saw this solution some where, he was getting the user name into a measure and then creating some kind of URL and setting this as image url data type and he was sending these information on page load into the data source/sharepoint, urgent if you can help please

I'm using chat gpt wrong then because I tried- for two weeks - to get it to help me with a DAX formula and it gave me all kinds of garbage. I reworded my question in every humanly possible way.

Huge fan of this channel, but ChatGPT is a big nope from me. All the info it can produce about Power BI relies on content creators like Adam and Patrick. But those creators get nothing back from ChatGPT - not even a measly pageview. That's not fair.
If a person with no Power BI experience answered this question by Frankensteining together bits of other people's work, we'd call it plagiarism. How is this different?

How is this useful to your audience. Isn't this use case way to niche? Why didn't you show how to write measures with chatgpt?
