I completely agree with Darrell, the Lewis to guard move makes zero football sense. If he can't play tackle effectively, I'd rather see Wade inside with Tyler Johnson at tackle playing the first few games to get reps and see how that looks.

Would not be surprised (but certainly pleased) if Auburn goes 9-3, but believe we finish 8-4. 8-4 should put us in the top 25.

Watched white in high school. He was outplayed by a sophomore qb twice last year. I’d take three other QBs in Arkansas over white anyday. Dude will be a bust.

There are plenty of teams that can offer Holden a nice NIL and playing time. His talents would be better suited in a more Pro-Style offense.

I remember I got called a negative Auburn fan when I pointed out that Lewis does not have quick enough feet to be a tackle.

If our O Line starts stinking it up again you can forget about Deuce Knight or any decent QB coming to AU!

We likely have an overall limited understanding of all the factors that influence the decision to determine a QB 1 or even QB 2 —Certainly. ability and aptitude to understand the offensive scheme to include the pre-snap reads, ability to execute on a consistent basis, ball protection, leadership both on and off the field, relationship with coaching staff and players, engagement during practice and in the film room and team meetings, impact on recruitment, efforts, commitment to stay and support, willingness to lead and mentor the QB’s who follow, locker room presence, finally, the consideration of who’s hands do you want the ball in at the end of the game with game on the line.

If Holden transfers he’s also looking @ really learning 4 different schemes in 5 yrs & that isnt easy to do or find success especially without playing in actual games.

Lewis wasn't the highest rated returner in pass protection using PFF as a resource. Connor Lew (78.4), Percy Lewis (72.2). J. Wright & Dillon Wade were close at either low 70's or high 60's (I've seen different pass protection PFF numbers for both online). Dapprich made a great point I didn't consider; the effect of a 6'7" OG impacting the passing lanes. I could certainly see Lewis' height being an issue at OG in the pass game. I don't think Lewis will ultimately move to OG, but it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. Hopefully Lewis will drop the necessary weight being asked and he's able to start, and Tyler Johnson can also get meaningful PT as well. I also hope they're able to keep Wade at OG because that's his more natural position and would be most effective there IMO.

this is a terrible and misleading headline. Auburn is not set. Walker White still has a long way to go.
