At 4:45 i meant to say 12 volt appliances draw more amps then 24 volt appliances do making 24 volt appliances more efficient. Your battery bank will last longer using 24 volt appliances

Thanks for another great video. You know most companies we buy from barely have clear diagrams, let alone instructions. They assume "if your buying it, you must know what you're doing". an for the most part that should be so, however seeing a thing actually done is, more reassuring for a novice than a black/white copy of a diagram. So I appreciate these videos. Finally a company that has figured out, " If you show them how to use it, they will come"
I have gained so much confidence with solar, through you, that i want to expand.

nice video, maybe a future one would be to walk someone along with the math behind choosing wire size and showing a wire size amperage chart, this will help them choose the right size fuses, switches, cables, etc.
I use the Blue sea fuse blocks that mount to the battery lug of each battery bank, then there is one less connection to the switch.
best

hi jeff, ive learned so much about solar systems and setup my own base on what I learned from your videos. but im still confused on fusing. fusing between battery and inverter? I have 2 170AH battery and a 3000W inverter. how do I compute for amps for fusing? thank you

Gracias. Thank you from Tenerife, Canary islands, Spain, Europe.

Are you suppose to figure your cable as a round trip when figuring length?

Another great video. It's been a well sense you did a giveaway.

thanks Jeff, i'm a new customer. I see that you're showing that the 1000w inverter uses a 100 amp breaker in the video, and the chart from the link is saying 175 amp breaker. which is correct, or recommended?thanks! -Pete

Do you lose any efficiency or current or anything by putting fuses and a shut off / shunt ? also- what size amp fuse ?
I have 1/0 cables and running a 2, 000/4000 inverter with 2- 100 ah 12 volt batteries (not that it matters buy 400 watts of panel)

Hello I enjoy your show I would like to know if you can help me out I am interested in using fuses also for my inverter I currently have a 1000 W continuous inverter peak 2000 with 5AWG STRAND WIRE - 2.5 feet ....based on this video are you suggesting that I use a 100 amp fuse I appreciate the answer thank you sir

By your chart it's a 24 volt system with a 1000 watt inverter uses 100 amp fuse and a 12 volt system uses a 200 amp So I guess you got that mixed up Or am I missing something

Its nice explain. Why dont design a cabinet? Its good explain.

Dont you have to use a slow burn fuse for inverters ? I can't find any .

that was very helpful video. Thanks jeff bro.

Hi. I had a question. Instead of putting one of those shutoff switches inline, couldn't I just hit the red button on the circuit breaker? Wouldn't that also shut off power to the inverter and prevent sparking? I can see how they would be very helpful, but I'm a little short on room in the area where everything is.. Thanks.

Another great video. Thanks Jeff. If you were new to this would you start out with wind or solar first?
