Stadia How To | Use Samsung Dex to Play Stadia On Your TV Without a Chromecast

In this Tutorial we will teach you how to play Stadia on your TV without a Chromecast - AND add the ability to use third party wireless controllers as well. This method uses Samsung DEX so is only confirmed to work on those Samsung devices that support it - and playing Stadia. This is untested on other phones such as the Pixel and Asus Models. iPhone users, sorry this won't work for you either.

I'm using Galaxy Note9 with 8GB RAM with Dex station + dual shock 4 connected through ethernet cable (60Mbps) and works like a dream. No lag from stadia, no input lag from the controller. Happy days.

This video was clutch! Thanks very much. I pulled out my original Dex Dock, added ethernet and used a wired xbox 360 controller ive had for over ten years. Totally avoided the need to buy a premier edition

def have been using this method ever since I got Stadia several months but recently (as in today) got the Premiere edition thanks to the RE8 pre-order and whew.... let me tell you... nice not having to do all that work-around to get Stadia onto my TV... plus, I get 4k, but the DeX method is great if someone isn't sure they wanna invest much into Stadia

This doesn't work anymore. Stadia app forces portrait at start. Labs option to resize now forces restart. Thay combination killed Stadia app working in DeX. You can use Stadia in Chrome (wireless with Stadia Controller) now though which only has a few drawbacks but works well enough.

Y did u have to use hdmi to phone ? Why not just connect dex wirelessly to TV? Do u loose quality, resolution? Just seems alot easier so u can charge your phone without having to buy another device

great vid mate, but for some reason my stadia app wont open in landscape mode, what should i do i already reinstall the app and also change in landscape mode, it wont go full screen . galaxy note 8 . thanks

If you want better stream speed, then use wired LAN cable to phone too.
