America has no issue with producing raw attacking talent, but to be a successful soccer nation, we need to be able to produce players with high level talent in every position on the field. We need to recognize the talent we currently have in the problem positions for us and have our best minds working on ways to hone and perfect their abilities.

The back line was clearly the weak spot for this game, as they kept attacking the left hand side of the defense, and isolating the fullback on that side to take him out of the play time and again. On top of that, the central defenders were left scrambling to try to reign in the imbalance created by that, which meant that they were placed in a situation where they had to exhibit skills they do not possess (yet). Of all the positions on the field, those are areas that need to be seriously focused upon.

the us can't be losing games like this man. the only reason us is behind other countries in soccer is because it isn't the only popular sport. but it is gaining popularity. other than that, the US has all the tools and all the facilities to be one of the top nations. they can't be losing to teams like Honduras. especially when they dominated the whole tournament. they need to beat Canada in the 3rd place game(Mexico should win) and bring yedlin and julian green and the others to play against Columbia.
