Working together with partners such as Cisco, new Nutanix AHV deployment options have been announced. The goal? To certify Cisco UCS blade servers to run AHV. This gives customers the chance to use the AHV hypervisor on compute-only or storage-only nodes. It also offers more server configurations suitable for AHV, reinforcing Nutanix's commitment to modernizing infrastructure and lowering total cost of ownership.
The company also announced the second iteration of its Nutanix GPT-in-a-Box. This innovation includes integrations with Nvidia Inference Microservices (NIM) and easy access to Hugging Face’s large language model (LLM) library. All make the deployment and management of AI models and inference endpoints a breeze.
Manosiz Bhattacharyya, Nutanix’s CTO, emphasized how the integration with NIM can simplify AI model deployment in enterprises and at the edge. On collaborating with Nutanix, Hugging Face’s CEO Clem Delangue stated, “Our partnership with Nutanix will help extend Hugging Face to more enterprises looking for private and secure control of their LLMs."
For those interested in AI, machine learning, and other applications, Nutanix has revamped its Unified Storage option. Now, it offers a dense low-cost all-NVMe platform using Micron’s 30TB flash modules. And for performance improvements? Nutanix will add support for Nvidia GPUDirect Storage.
