GEICO TV Commercial, 'HOA Cynthia Advises New Neighbors'

A couple moved into a new neighborhood that's great in all ways, except for maybe the overly-involved HOA. It's vigilant about their shrub height, how they recycle and isn't afraid to break out the chainsaw to remove an offending mailbox. At least GEICO helps by making bundling their insurance plans a lot easier.

I remember that my parents used to live in a neighborhood with a specified color for all fences. My mother was getting treatment for cancer, but they still had the HOA on them about not painting the fence yet.

so true and the part they are not covering is the cost of the HOA and incestuouos relationship between the HOA management company and the vendors they get in bed with. Plus when they want to, the HOA management company acts like the money is theirs. And at times they treat the money with disrespect paying bills late incurring late fees that of course are a burden on the residents money in the HOA account.

Apparently Geico must approve of HOAs. They are now replaying commercial. This commercial is the biggest reason to absolutely despise HOAs and why would anyone be a part of it. To have yourself subjected to govt oversight is one thing. Why exacerbate yourself to more ?
