Worlds only corn Palace in Mitchell South Dakota

The Corn Palace is a one of a kind building in Mitchell SD first built in the 1890's to show of the areas fruitful land in an effort to attract famers. There's been a total of 3 since the first was built. Today the Palace has theatre style seating for about 1800 and hosts many events during the year. The downtown where its located has some nice shops and restaurants.
