Belouis Some | Some People | 1985 | Music Video 4K

English singer, songwriter and musician Belouis Some was best known for his hit singles Imagination and Some People. Videos for both songs were directed by the legendary Storm Thorgerson: Imagination faced controversy for featuring full frontal nudity and Some People was used as an advertisement for Swatch! The version of the song used in this video is the 1984 B-side of the 12” for Target Practice, titled ‘Somepeople’. The song was reworked several more times, the most known version likely being the 1986 one that opens Some’s album of the same name.

Belouis Some was rather big here in South Africa. This song reached #9 on the official singles chart in 1986. Other songs received major air play as well, placing 3 top 20 singles on our charts. Locally he remains an icon of the 80's.
