Teduh Hostel, opened in 2014 in the heart of colonial Jakarta, is Jakarta’s first boutique hostel experience tailored specifically for international and domestic backpacker travelers. “Teduh”, which means “sanctuary” in English, symbolizes our desire to offer our guests a home in the midst of the Jakarta’s hectic lifestyle. Located strategically in central Jakarta and with a slick interior design, Teduh Hostel promises to be a hip and cozy base for you to explore the city of Batavia (colonial Jakarta).

We have conducted a full scale renovation of Teduh Hostel in 2014 to ensure that our guests only have the best facilities to live in. Check out our living room designed by Urbain Drc based in Boston – from bamboo ceilings and greenhouse chilling areas to the kitchen and bar, you will be surprised by how this sanctuary provides shelter in the heat and hecticness of Jakarta. We have movie nights and video games to keep you entertained throughout your stay.
