Back in 2008 my family was too poor to afford a plane ticket, get a hotel, and get a rental to come see me, so I stood there and just cried in formation knowing 110% that no one's coming to tap me out. My buddy saw me with no family, so his parents came and tapped me out. They even took me out for dinner with them that day. There are still kind-hearted people out there. If ya went to a ceremony and didn't tap anyone out who didn't have any family, then shame on you. Just know that they had to go back into their barracks for the day. Do your buddies a favor and tap them out, too. When I see videos like this, I still tear up. 😢

I was one of those people to have no family at my graduation but my battle buddies mother tapped me out with a big hug, it honestly left me in tears and it made me feel so much better about it all.
