It's called a Hot Hand, made by Source Audio. It's a motion sensing ring that allows you to control the tone of the sound.

I think he explains it in the discription of one of his video, but the thing is I dont remember which one. I agree with you that he is very talented and he plays various types of music other than this and dupstep.

The thing on his thumb is called a Hot Hands. It allows him to get the effect you hear out of the bass with the help of some other equipment from the same company.

Actually its linked to a pedal, and the sound from the bass is sent through envelopes and filters in the pedal controlled by the movement of the accelerometer in the ring.

The ring comes from Source Audio and can be used with any pedal that you can jack an expression pedal into.

It's a hot hand... Basically, it's like an expression pedal, but it uses a proximity filter on a ring to alter any effects you've got on rather than a pedal. :)
