Indian born and living in Germany here, which you left out completely. Indians today are one of the largest groups of (legal) immigrants to Germany. I work in the field of advertisement / film (senior visual effects artist) but a lot of Indians here are doctors, engineers, programmers etc. but also work as delivery people, nurses and so on.

And then we've got some connections in history, even though in a much darker period of Germany. Subash Chandra Bose or "Netaji" came here for support for Indian independence and assembled an Indian troop, which consisted of prisoners of war. He had an Austrian wife and their daughter is Anita Bose-Pfaff who lives here in Germany.

One shouldn't forget the Romani migration ~1000 years ago from India to West Asia and Europe. They contributed a lot to global music and dance. Also, the large number of Indians who fought in WW1 and WW2. The most enduring influence of the Indians on the world is our place-value numeral system (including the numeral 0), schools like Yoga and Buddhism, and many industries including textiles, metallurgy and spices. Btw, the era of Gupta empire is 4th to 6th century CE, and not "6th BC".

Countless attacks happened on egyptians, greeks, persians etc etc civilisations
Invasion attempts for over 1300 years also happened in India some were successful some were not.
But I can proudly say while other civilsations disappeared whether it be greek, persian or others India still stands strong beliving in its own culture as national identity.
Jai Shree Ram 🙏🙏

You guys forgot to mention the Jewel of the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago. Yesterday we held a state funeral for the first East Indian & Hindu Prime Minister in the Western world. Basdeo Panday was the best known Indian in the diaspora a few years ago. Trinidad has Hindu & Muslim schools and public holidays for Divali & Eid ul Fitr. More than 40% of the population is of East Indian origin. Some of the highest offices were and are occupied by East Indians such President, Chief Justice and also first East Indian woman as Prime Minister in the western world. The honorary Kamla Persad Bissessar. Our present President is also of Indian origin, the Honorable Christine Kangaloo.

Indians can easily assimilate in any region of the world, not just the english speaking nations. The reason for this is India itself is one of the most diverse nation in the world with various languages, cultures, traditions and festivals. Since they have been living together for so long with so many communities, they are quite habituated to handle cultural shock when they migrate out of india.

I think we do need to mention too that Fijians and Caribbeans had to go through a really tough and racist time. We also can’t fail to recognize that there was a time when we were treated as second class citizens, red-lined, paid less for work, racially terrorized, our temples were attacked, our families and social groups were devastated by gang culture AND YET we’ve continued to survive and thrive.
