STEM RISE: Inspiring STEM Careers

STEM RISE aims to combat the underrepresentation of people of color working in science, technology, engineering and math careers. UH STEM undergraduates and medical students serve as mentors to students from Jack Yates High School in Houston’s Third Ward. UH collaborators on the project are the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, teachHOUSTON and the Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine.
