You can keep you bugs, I won’t look at you funny if you do the same for me when I eat a steak, ribs, chicken etc.

For crying out loud.
Are crickets really more appealing than simply going Vegan?

Five points about this CBC News video:
1- The dialogue used is not PRO-life, rather, it is anthropocentric, which means ANTI-life~unless you do not believe in the Anthropocene!
2- The incongruence of both feeling hopeful when also reporting how there are more steps going backwards (hint: intentions are not news!) are signs of cognitive-dissonance - and other forms of disconnections from reality!
3- Too much of the percentage of the video is used-up showing how they act as friends at a party~when the title of the video is "Climate lookahead for 2023: Key issues and innovations!" (This is typical CBC style of manufacturing consent)
4- Eating insects "en masse" will result in speeding-up the Anthropocene, so is business-as-usual with batteries replacing fossil-fuels for certain things! Unless you can train the other species that depend on insects as food as well (that your species would then make extinct for others to eat when they are crucial for ecological stability and resilience) to consume your toxic-waste and radioactive by-products instead, then the idea does NOT provide hope! Is your "human-chauvinism" able to make you believe that you will soon give birth to a miracle baby that will know how to talk to the insects and convince them to commit suicide so as to save you all?!?
5- What they talk about here would have been perfect for 1963, if they also would have included other topics about the crises in the "human-condition" needing to be worked-on - but to say these things with hope and a straight face NOW, it tells me that psychiatrists have failed as much as politicians, educators and parents - from ALL cultures - for many MANY decades now!

Even with the current dip, I'm so glad 🙂 I've built my portfolio to $30, 560 from my weekly trade. I'm having my fourth withdrawal in 10 business days 💯!

Not gonna eat Crickets/Bugs. However, would eat them ground up and added into things as a Protein source.

I'm down to eat cricket burgers :)
Also electric vehicles isn't the only solution we can use bikes. Most of our commutes don't need a car.
