Hans: Do you in your terms feel aggression towards the audience
Roger: No
Oh how that would change....

This footage is a masterpiece. To see it in it's full HD glory is amazing, especially when Syd is still...okay

This is how I prefer to remember Syd. He was so charming, whimsical, and charismatic.

I just can't get over Syd's talking voice. There's just something about it that draws you in.

Striking to see Syd before his bad times hit. So eloquent, so coherent, so pleasant. A diamond geezer.

In the song "Summer 68" Wright sings "The music was too loud"

I wonder if they got inspiration from this interview

People complain about Hans Keller, but he actually makes this interview much more interesting by being the antagonist. Even though I disagree with him, he's classically trained and has a much better understanding of music than your typical pretentious music snob or critic.

1:34 I can read on his face "Please, get me out of this place, it's gonna be *TOO LOUD* "

Love Syd’s smile when the interviewer mentions the string quartet! Syd & Rog seem like they’re able to silently communicate too!

I love that Hans Keller states he does not want to prejudice the audience with his opinion before they hear the band, and then goes on to do just that. But as someone else pointed out, it makes a nice change from the fawning of modern interviewers.

Roger and Syd’s analysis of why they should play concerts and the fact that they were “pop at the moment” is genius

4:52 He looks so happy. He is enjoying the music with his entire body, and I love it so bad.

The way that Syd 'dances' with his arms freaks me out, like he really felt the sooo cool

Hans Keller:

"Let me first turn to Roger. I want to ask one fundamental question, of which I'll tell you viewers may not be quite aware of the significance of it because they didn't hear all of it. Why does it all got to be so terribly loud? For me, frankly, its too loud. I just can't bare it. I happened to have grown up with the string quartet which is a bit softer. So, uh, why does it got to be so loud?"

Roger:

"Well, I don't think that it HAS to be. But I mean, that's the way we like it. And uh, we didn't grow up in the string quartet so I guess that could be one of the reasons why its loud. I mean, it doesn't sound terribly loud to us."

Every time I see that announcer clip and his passive aggressive put-downs I have a good chuckle. History got the last laugh on him.

Outside of the weird interviewer, this is a valuable 'time-capsule' of the early beginnings of the Floyd, especially since Syd appears still well!
