High School, Reimagined: Tori Stephens-Shauger at TEDxABQED

At ACE Leadership High School, the traditional model for high school education is completely absent. There are no bells or single-subject classes or defined classrooms, students and teachers work side by side, and students who are labeled as problematic in traditional schools thrive through project-based learning. As the founding Executive Director and Principal of ACE Leadership High School, Tori Stephens-Shauger is dedicated to developing school structures and environments that provide innovative learning experiences for all students.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
