Cafe Taberna is THE most authentic place to go in Cuba to experience genuine dance and music. What better way to end this amazing adventure in Cuba than spending the night partying like we were born there. After way too many mojitos and dancemoves to the beats of Buena Vista Social Club and a total lack of sleep, we reflect on this week of new experiences as the sun rises on a new day. Check out our video to see Troy, Rodrigo and Sarah tear up the dance floor to Cuban beats from Buena Vista Social Club!

Happy Google apocalypse day from Israel! I'm from the States and going back in days. I fell in LOVE with Mexico when I traveled there (highly recommend traveling alone if you want to learn a new language. Two things, as a religious traveler (no joke, I found out recently that I very likely have Gyspy in my blood - too many coincidences, when I was traveling Mexico for maybe six months, I fell in love with Cuba on the first two days. I met these men because they didn't know Spanish, and mine wasn't great but I could interpret a menu and speak with a waiter. At dinner, they just kept complaining that Mexico was nothing compared to Cuba. (I still stay Cuba in Spanish in my head). We were in one of THE coolest towns I had experienced, so that got my attention. Then the Iranian guy (totally laid back but too old for me - I have a thing for men from Iran) pulled out his phone to show me a video of a woman singing to them in a bathroom or something, and photos so colorful that the dude had to keep reassuring me that these were unfiltered. Now, at that time I potentially could have gone to Cuba, but not legally unless I was rich, and I kind of like my passport. I'm a wordy writer, if you hadn't noticed. I found out from Time Magazine in a lobby that Cuba had just opened the political floodgates. I went from overjoyed to "By the time I get back to the States it will be wrecked." A STRONG sense of urgency. But, because I'm a weirdo, I sort of "knew" about what Dr Simon Atkins calls Wave X. You know, like Planet X. Anyway, I'm a CS girl and if you ever get bored, Check out the The Nomadic Family. You'll have to use some old search engine of course (I am gloating right now). The wife of the family who called me her cosmic sister because we met on the internet two years ago. I'm finally back in Qiryat Shmona so I'm waiting for an invitation (probably on Shabbat) from the father because I still haven't met the fam. Ok - regarding Israel.... COME HERE WHEN THE DUST HAS SETTLED. Women rule here, but it seems like the older girls are in charge. It's Freaking hilarious. And, from personal experience, unbelievably healing for a woman who spent much more time with males until about fourteen years old.My phone made a noise a while ago, and I'm guessing it's my CS friend in Italy, so I may have the chance to actually talk to celebrate this holiday of the future. That's just a guess - no weird shit. Oh, and thanks for the video, I had my Spanish Love playlist. Also, when anyone you know is really freaking out because of the new paradigm, please reassure them that they are not crazy. Do a little homework using the word electromagnetic. Not on Google. That, my friends, I forbid.
