My heart sank as I saw my daughter holding my empty prescription bottle. I quickly grabbed it out of her hand and looked at it, realizing the amount of pills she had consumed. “Shit, shit, shit, shit…” I mumbled to myself.

I heard my daughter panting loudly, her breathing slowing down. I turned around and saw her fingertips almost purple, her lips blue. My stomach SANK. I grabbed her and threw her in the car, speeding off to the hospital. My mind is racing with thoughts of what could have happened if I had just kept more of a watchful eye on her. My stomach is hurting, cramping up. Am I going to lose my baby girl? The one good thing that’s come out of my life?! I can hear her making these weird gurgling noises, I looked back and saw her eyes rolled back into her head.
We finally got to the hospital..

We finally made it to the hospital. I ran over to the front desk, tears streaked my face. I held her in my hands, she had turned completely blue and she was unresponsive. I watched as they took her away, my hands shaking. My knees gave out and I let it flow. I sobbed loudly, a nurse came over and comforted me. She sat me down and gave me some water. I silently begged with god to not take my little girl..even though I couldn’t provide for her much, I loved her so much. She was so innocent, so naïve, so sweet and kind..My little sunshine. I already lost but I can’t handle losing my baby girl.

What I hoped for finally came. A light shining through my miserable, pathetic, unfortunate life. She was okay. I ran into the room she was in, where I witnessed her unconscious and on a ventilator. I fell to my knees and sobbed next to her bedside. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it. I sobbed harder, holding her hand on my chest. Finally, not ONE bad thing is happening to me..I used to be a walking bag of mishaps. Nobody ever deserves to die at 4 years old. I was told that she had already thrown up most of the pills. If had just kept a more watchful eye on her then NONE OF THIS would have happened. A few days pass….

I shivered when I saw the bottle I was frozen I grabbed her and ran into the car I was facing the road I went pass the speed limit just to get to the hospital I rushed inside the police was outside the hospitalwhen we got there I looked how much she ate I was frozen with tears going down my face she ate my whole bottle of pills the doctors rushed her in 3 hours later we heard from one of the nurses “she is not okay can you tell me what pills they were “the nurse said “pricription pills “I said shaking the nursed rushed back to tell the crew she came back to ask”can you give me the bottle and how much she ate “ she said looking scared “ok and she ate the whole bottle can you give this to her teddy please!”I cried out “yes of course can I get your name and her name please “ the nurse asked “Maya and David and it happened when I was doing work on the computer she was in the kitchen and she somehow went into the cabinet and ate all the pills i think she thought those were her medicine pills she has asthma and a really bad condition her mom is gone please help “ I started crying so much “she went back 4 hours later we heard back “she’s in a coma for a whole year I’m sorry “ I cried so much that the floor was covered in it
