It's funny how, despite being known by so many names that are places, elsewhere, Georgia is so utterly it's own thing. Language? Linguistic isolate. Where are they originally come from? Right there. Just like, walked out of Africa, the cradle of humanity, stopped in Georgia, and were just like, "Perfect! We'll stay here, " and absolutely meant it.

Fun fact about the golden fleece - one common theory of origin of that story is that ancient Georgians/Colchians used fleeces to collect gold nuggets from mountain streams.

I am the one who moved to Georgia out of sheer love for the place. All great things people are saying about Georgia are true. I will name another thing I love about Georgia and it kind of tops everything else: Georgia has the most delicious air, you cannot get enough of it. People may not notice, but the Georgian air makes everything so easy, whether you hike in the mountains, or making your way through a crowded street, whether you are enjoying abundant local feasts or just sleep with your window open. It's just easy.

I've traveled quite a lot and Georgia is one of my favorite places on Earth. The people are by far the most hospitable I've ever seen, their cuisine and wine are some of the best in the world, the natural vistas are exquisite, and their history is as ancient and distinguished as any I could mention.
