A test of the Almhs Universal Mini Bender. Can a decent-looking spiral be easily formed using the pins and dies that come with the bender?

Ha I have been struggling to make 3mm brass rod with hooks on the end, now I realise I have been bending from the wrong end. Thank you for showing me the error of my way

Your videos are cool I like them. I know the trick for artistic spirals: make the inital bend then before any overlap cut off the flat part and keep bending. Wasteful of material but art is like that sometimes.

You can saw the straight part off at an angle before you finish the circle.

Can anyone point out a reason you'd want a spiral like that?

Thanks for another great vid! I discovered, quite by accident, the original patented producer of these benders that China “copied”. Search “Oxford General Industries” or “Duo-Mite” bender. I was shocked by the prices of the 3 versions that they designed/manufacture/sell, but amazed at the number of accessories they have (the close follower is a must have). Also extremely helpful are the instructions that are on the site! Take a look!
