This drone accidentally made a chilling discovery after spotting this next to an abandoned river. Today, we take a look at what this drone caught on camera.

Back in September twenty twenty two, a thermal camera mounted on a drone helped rescuers find a lost kayaker adrift on the Deerfield River.

According to Deerfield Fire Chief Darren Melnik, the police responded to a nine one one call made by a man who claimed to have lost contact with another kayaker on the river.

The kayaker was a man in his thirties, and he had drifted downstream without being able to exit the river.

Every video on this channel is a minute and a half of a breaking story or new creepy goings on followed by 8 minutes of this guy reading out a Wikipedia article about a topic relatively or very tenuously connected to said new story lol

I don't get how this is chilling nor do I understand how a drone can accidentally make a discovery, as it implies that 1) the drone is somehow sentient and aware of it's own surroundings, without human intervention, and 2) that the drone wasn't utilized to actually gather any information in the first place - which quite clearly was the purpose, as it was used in a search and rescue operation.

And as others point out - what the hell is an abandoned river? Did somebody build the river and then leave it? That makes as much sense as a "solved unexplained mystery" or something to that effect.. I need some clarification on this.
