Most developers watching this video have probably just started with xamarin. They've probably just started to get comfortable with the api, done some sqllite stuff, started looking into cloud data and landed on this. Do you think azure functions and authentication was a good place to start? Why not start with things they're more likely to have worked with and then show off some of the other stuff azure is capable of. Be patient with your students, explain concepts, start with more common use cases. It's not like there's a time limit on YouTube.

UWP is notably absent from Xamarin's platform overview.
From my personal experience I can certainly confirm that developing for UWP in Xamarin feels like Microsoft considered their own platform an afterthought.
So, can we take it this means Microsoft publicly ditches UWP support for Xamarin?
