Skoda Rapid hatchback review - CarBuyer

The Skoda Rapid is a hatchback model with a huge boot designed to take on the Volkswagen Golf and the Ford Focus. It's a value car, so the interior quality and comfort aren't entirely up to the standards offered in more expensive rivals. But considering the entry price tag of £12,900, there really isn't much else in this class that feels as well-rounded as the Rapid. It may not be the most exciting car in the world but it's certainly a fantastic family choice.

I gotta give it to Skoda. Cheap and smart buy that hold its value well. Looks pretty good compared to earlier models and is relatively good on the environment. Still pretty expensive...

Great car for the price. Here you can buy it for like 12.5k euro the basic packet with the 1.2 petrol engine.

I think it looks quite handsome. Not everybody wants a car with wild styling, and 18in wheels. Some just want a simple, smart, and practical saloon.

I do like Skoda as they make some of the best looking cars on the market that are reliable, affordable and particle. If I was to buy a car, it would be a Skoda Rapid or Octavia.

you got point ... in Czech Republic old Rapid is quite legend and tuners love it ... so many Skoda fans was little angry that its not coupe. Its not trash, its quite good car, bud it should not have name Rapid.

Nearly all cars have wipers of the rear window. This one is a hatchback because the rear window opens with the boot lid and you have access to the back of the car from it.

Have fun maintaining 523 if you plan on doing some decent yearly mileage. In 5 years you could save enough money for the next Rapid if you chose it over something like 523. Skoda Rapid will also sell as a fleet car, where simple interior is an advantage.

Having "partial power" (manual rear) windows is common on European vehicles. Here I believe the Neon tried that formula, among a few others.

Well everyone has it's preference of brand. I am fortunate to own 3 BMW's a 2007 a 2008 and a 2013 (around 36k US each one) and I love them and how they drive.

I have a Russian assembly Skoda Rapid 1.6 MPI 2014 Model and 105 hp. I love it, because it's very cheap to run, solid, has a very good quality and best value performance car in it's class. (B+)

I looked at some reviews from carbuyer and neither the BRZ, C-Class coupe or E-Class coupe have rear wipers. It's really common for coupes and sedans not to need them, the wind will blow any rain away.
