for some reason i feel that the current FX series processors were ahead of its time. Back when it was released a fast dual core was the ideal CPU for gaming and it was better to have more IPC, now with DX12 and its utilization of multiple cores the FX processors with their plentiful cores can perform better on DX12 titles.

I'm not hating on consoles but the 1st thing i thought was "console processors = bottleneck of gaming, graphical downgrade, poor performance, 30 fps and console peasantry" Also what's the point of this? isn't ZEN coming out soon? buying an FX processor is NOT a good idea. 100% gonna buy ZEN tho

I love AMD, but don't go touting your core clock when Intel's IPC is insanely better than current FX processors.

I hope AMD gets back in the CPU battle. Intel is killing u with 10% improvements every year.

Recently I upgraded my aging q6600 to i7 4770k and my render times in 3ds Max were cut in half. That's 5-6 years of tech life that mount up to 2x faster. That's abysmal.

When I got my q6600 it was literately over 100x faster than my aging AMD 2500+ Barton CPU. Now that was a difference worthy of 5-6 years of tech life.

Lets be honest AMD and this is coming from a FX 8350 user, the only reason the piledriver FX CPUs are still available on the market is because you have not got anything yet to replace them with they are essentially place-holders, , these CPUs are now 3 generations behind Intel, they are nothing more than 2012 relics in the desktop CPU enthusiast market.. Zen can't come soon enough

AMD i have been building custom AMD machines for myself and friends since I used my first amd Processor in my brand name (Athlon 64 2400+) HP desktop PC. Was hooked after custom building myself a Athlon X2 64 4600+. I have been greatly disappointed by teh way the old management team has pushed forward and how the marketing team continued there after. Claiming that they can beat the competition in a large variety of areas where the real world usage and benchmarks showed the contrary. The fact you released this video before even showcasing the abilities of Zen have damaged AMD's new management teams reputation for myself. Although the engineering decisions and restructuring has given me hope. The fact you even tout a 9570 as competitive is not only deceptive but utter crap. Its time you admit to your consumers that the amount of GHZ doesn't matter when your IPC is not up to snuff and stop using a high Ghz as a talking point, when an 8350 downclocked to 2.5ghz barely loses any throughput compared to the process OC'd to 4.4 Ghz.

I have been trying to help the underdog through my wallet, but after seeing this after the disappointing results and the AMD team admitting Bulldozer didn't go as expected, I can only assume the new management and marketing has not learned from the mistakes of their predecessors. Shame on you AMD. I will finally upgrade my aging AMD machine with a Skylake. My first intel CPU in use since pentium 466.

wtf amd, clock speed isn't everything. You compare the higher clock speed of the 9590 to the 4790k as if you are trying to say that its faster because of that. It's not when clearly the IPC of even an i5 is better. Just give us ZEN already.
