How to Add and Use Waze in Android Auto (Works on ANY Android Phone)

If you've got an Android and can't seem to find Waze on Android Auto, the fix is simple. In this video I show you how to use Waze through Android Auto on any Android device! Thanks to @chuck734 for the idea on this video

If Waze or other apps aren't working on your phone and you've already tried the fix in this video, try these other options:
1. Under Location Settings --> Permissions make sure that Waze (or other app) is changed to Always Allow
2. Change the battery optimization setting to Unrestricted instead of Optimized
3. Uninstall Waze (or other app) and install an earlier release - you might have to sideload the APK file. Seems like some people are having issues with the updated version

Few days ago address search on Waze via Android auto is not available, it shows "not while driving" before that it was "voice search only" that was also not practical for me since my native language is not supported .
Is there a way to get on screen keyboard again working ?

My issue with Waze is that it auto starts every time I connect my phone to my car. I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. Even when force quit it on the phone, it automatically turns back on! I don't need to use Waze all the time for my daily commutes. It consumes my precious data, as I'm on a prepaid plan. Any walk around to how to disable the auto start? thanks
