I had one of these as a rental for over a week and it's the best car I've ever driven. The power is perfect, the drive is so smooth yet you still feel connected. The best thing was I found myself finding reasons to drive places again which means this car put the fun back into driving for me. If I didn't have 3 kids I'd have one already but for now, the 7 seater will have to do as space is king!

I owned this car for about 7 months now. It’s quite surprisingly nice and smooth to drive in town and highway as well. The hybrid battery has saved me quite a lot of money on petrol which i normally do only 40km a day

As a boring man that buys his wardrobe from M&S I have had 5 BMW 5 series. My latest I is a 2019 530e. I’m 115k miles in and it really is the best 5 series I’ve had. I know the battery will fail but it still takes a full charge and delivers the same performance as new. The first 6 miles of my drive to work is back lanes. Then I hit the M6 so the engine steps at 70 MPH from stone cold I don’t get it but it works.

Out of 20 cars which I drove in the past 25 years, this is by far the best car I've ever owned. It's even better than my legendary E60.

I bought a 530e a few weeks ago. A 530d still works out better in terms of cost per mile. I still only get around 40mpg of combined electric and petrol engine. The one thing I really like about this car is just how smooth it is. The electric and petrol engine is really smooth and is great on a short and long journeys. I love driving it and it's not as noisy as the diesel version. I guess, if you are doing loads of miles you still cannot beat Diesel but for me and my lower mileage usage it's perfect. Yes, the boot is smaller but again, I don't carry alot of stuff around either so it doesn't bother me. If I wanted to do lots of mileage and carry loads of stuff then the 530d touring would be where I would look. However, if you want a smooth cruiser and you don't carry alot of stuff around then this is perfect. Also, this car does charge the battery itself if you want it to. You don't have to plug it in.

have a 2017 . Currently 140k miles - Stage 1 remap. combined 333BHP. I share all the positive comments with PCL - only add that I drive 200 miles / day to work and back and still get 50-57 MPG -charging it at home and at work. Only use super petrol only- as it gives more umph....lol ...and better fuel economy ( and only 7 p dearer than regular at TESCO) . I highly recommend this car to everyone who can charge it home and at work . Otherwise the MPG will be max 40 it is Plug In Hybrid as the name says and to get the most out of it needs bot power source. as for equipment : Comfort seats - massage seats- ceramic pack- 4 ways climate- and the usual whistles and bells. It is a very nice place to be in - especially when dark outside and the mood light really sets the atmosphere inside. I can say : best car I had so far ....

Biggest problem with these is the lag. If you’re in drive and need more power, the lag for the engine to kick on and spin the turbo is pretty bad

I'm now 9 months into ownership of a 530e, I do very low mileage so fuel economy is not a deal breaker for me. I was going to install a home charger but after driving it for a while I decided to simply leave it in self charge hybrid mode. It's a lovely car to live with. Flawed yes, but still I concur with this review on almost every point.

Remap for another 90 bhp, pre-warm or defrost your car prior to any journey

I do like hybrids my brother used to have a 2006 Lexus gs450h. 25-30mpg around town is not bad considering it has 335bhp

Hello ! I just brought an BMW 530e, 2018 ! The car is ok, I like to driving but the only issue is that I’m an Uber driver and I don’t plug in to recharge the battery, sometimes! I drive more on petrol, like a clasic one .Should I wonder about this ? It is any problem if I don’t use the plug in ? I’m looking forward for the reply.
Thank you very much indeed!

the only downsize of those cars are they break easily as i know from some people also i google it, and i saw this information, about BMW Well because a lot of car manufacturers look for ways to make their cars cheap. BMW cars fall in that category, being as though a lot of parts that function around the engine are made out of plastic. Engines conduct a lot of heat and plastic melts from heat, which causes a lot of problems, such a shame so amazing cars have plastic parts on the engine

2019-2020-2021 There were minor makeovers for 3 years in a row. Last model 2021 to a TRASH vehicle, even the most make-up model. Definitely DO NOT BUY. This vehicle is NOT a HYBRIT, they are just fooling people with wordplay. All the values written on the website are LIE. This vehicle's website says 70MPG, but feel lucky if you get 35MPG. If you are thinking of buying a @BMW, choose the 530i Model. Its fuel consumption is almost the same, but it does not cost as much as the HYBRIT model because it costs less. I've been in this business for years @BMW is just a name. If you are looking for a vehicle that gives real 60MPG, choose Honda or Toyota. All of BMW's HYBRT vehicles are just LIES!!!

Used Tesla Model 3 or BMW 530e ($21K) for heavy daily business driving (200 miles per day)?

My 2018 battery lasted around 15-22 miles depending on time of year taking into consideration what speed you are travelling at. So for instance it will last much longer at 30mph
