We get it - it costs money and time to develop these plugins. However, the pricing is excessive and a slap in the face for MPC fans who get excited over every incremental release. Please consider bringing the price down to reasonable levels. We all want to see Akai and MPC thrive and succeed - but at these prices you eschew your loyal fans.

Is Akai out of their mind? The pricing on these is absolutely ridiculous. We bought standalone to avoid this. I can understand charging something, but going from $0 to more expensive than the competition PLUS A HARDWARE PURCHASE??? Akai has been so good and loyal to their user base in the past… and I genuinely think the KEY 61 is a great addition… but whoever the new guy is, who decided to start gouging the existing users should be FIRED immediately and Akai needs to start doing damage control.

Nice adition. But.. too expensive. For 600$ mpc one to pay 500$ for basic vst's just doesn't make sence. Can buy super proffesional vst's for less. Sorry Akai. I like you guys. But you have bad marketing choice here.

Fascinating how Akai were marketing the 2.11 Firmware update HARD for like 6 weeks, but no mention of a $500 plugin collection until launch.

Wow, ridiculous pricing, what an absolute shame. I'd consider paying like $250 for these, but $500?? What a joke.

I'd rather just upgrade my main keyboard since I run that into my MPC anyways.

I enjoyed playing with them in demo mode, but the price seems way too high for whats offered, though the op four is a great addition. Also quite suprising that they didnt include a version of hybrid 3, as I think that would add a lot more modern sounds with a great library thats already there for akai which also allows for users to create their own sounds, as i think tubesynth is quite limited in some regards (especially the lack of free running oscillators, the phase locked sound sucks for certain sounds). If you do some day add hybrid, please dont remove those wonderful dual filters with all those types and drive models! I think in the tweakable synth department the mpc key is underwhelming compared to e.g. the fantom-o. With hybrid 3 it would be quite a bit more competitive in my opinion

Love the idea of high quality expansions like this and glad to pay for them but the pricing is completely inappropriate.

This is collusion with Teenage Engineering. We were all saying TE was crap for the $2000 toy keyboard and $1300 breadboard mixer and that the MPC was the real option for not getting ripped off. Can't say it anymore...

500 for a bundle is definetly too much. Around 200 would be acceptable.

I'm not buying these Akai, I think it's pretty cheeky of you to try sell these to your customers at this price. We will purchase new mpc's and related products when you release them, but this is taking the piss and has left a sour taste in my mouth

Ouch. Love the potential. But I think the pricing would have to be cut in half for me to bite. ~$60 for a single plugin or $200ish for the whole-thing. Still think you guys are doing a great job with the product-line in general. Personally, I'd love to see a rackmount variant that focuses on I/O. Looking forward to trying out the new keyboard version.

Akai, please! You've seen what everybody is saying about these plug-ins. AIR VSTs are already overpriced for DAWs...not saying they're bad though but overpriced for sure. However, this is at another level. I know these are quality and I'm sure everybody would love to have them on their STANDALONE but, you cannot sell them at that price and people will not buy them at that price either. Even the individual pricing makes very little sense. We obviously love your MPC range because all it's features make them amazing machines compared to the competition and all that at an amazing price. Yet this goes the opposite direction. Respect to your products but I, and I'm pretty a lot of your very loyal customers, will have to pass on this.

I have the MPC Live and the Live 2 and These plug-ins do sound pretty good but sheeesh that is wayyyy too much $$ for just 5 GB of plug ins. Please bring the price down. Seems like greed at this point. I still love ya tho
