I remember the time when people were very disinterested when the film was announced, people were like A prequel that nobody needed. But after seeing the movie in theatres I must admit that even with average movie expectations the theatres were housefull everybody including the kids enjoyed the movie a lot. It's an 8.5/10 for me

The greatest thing about this movie is that we see that Taka was Scar even without a scar and Mufasa was a real good king even without royal blood. It's ridiculous that they showed Scar running away and leaving his mother and brother to be killed in a death battle. In reality, even if someone is a coward, when they see their mother dying in a fight, they never run away. They might jump into the battle and make awkward moves, but what Scar did was the most foolish thing I've ever seen, completely disconnected from both reality and fantasy. Mufasa appears brave next to a coward. He doesn't seem braver than an another brave character.

Mufasa saved his adoptive mother and held his own against two older more powerful males, even killing one. All Whilst Taka was running for his life - literally looked at his mother in the eye before he ran. See that right there is defining - it doesn’t matter if Taka isn’t very physically strong, if he had the heart and bravery of a warrior king, he’d leap in to fight for his mama regardless just like Mufasa did. It’s a personality and mindset difference which is okay! Not all were meant to lead
