RAW: Protesters block an ambulance that appears to be responding to an emergency

The ambulance, running with lights and sirens on, has to slow and carefully pass the protesters

Emergency personnel should be given legal authority to remove any object or person that becomes an obstacle in their line of duty, through force if necessary. Similar to enforcers of the law, these people are essentially enforcers of your rights to live and should be given proper means to do so. I say give them armoured vehicles to prevent being hindered by traffic, and to prevent any more deaths due to delayed treatment.

Here in Texas it is a state jail felony to block emergency vehicles with mandatory 180 days in the state jail. State jail felonies are like class A misdemeanors there is no parole.

I followed the ambulance to the hospital when my dad had a heart attack. Believe me, if they had blocked that particular ambi on that particular day, I woulda kicked some ass.

This is actually more better than most. They actually let the ambulance go through without blocking its path. Aside from the ambulance having to slow down of course.

EMT here. Would not consider it blocking the road, especially that it was coincidental that the ambulance just so happened to be passing thru that intersection. They moved out of the way with no issues. Also siren was off (aka not emergent)

Please, please, please! Decriminalize running over protesters that block traffic. The right to assemble doesn't mean you can disrupt the world around you, or in this case possibly endanger someone's life, because you want your feelings acknowledged.

What a block that was... One for the record book! I've had to deal with more pedestrian traffic after a major event than what this video shows and labels "blocking" .
