After seeing all these cocky or too clever by half interviews lately, it's a breath of fresh air to see Chris Yoo just being normal. He has a fan in me.

The game Christopher did not see: Wesley beats Caruana in a Petroff.
The game Christopher saw: Caruana beats Wesley in a Petroff.
In a sense, Chris was lucky not to see the Sinquefeld game. If he knew Wesley had most recently won in a Petroff, Chris might not have gone for this opening.
In an alternate universe where Yoo saw the Sinquefeld game, he did not play the Petroff in Round 2 and drew with Wesley instead.

I wonder if his not taking the draw had a psychological effect on Wesley, or if it was just an outright win. I mean was Wesley thinking, "hey good job kid take the draw..." Then got caught off guard? I think the combination of his attacking style, good instincts, and aggressive play simply broke down Wesley's defense--and he's one of the best defenders out there.
